Not Me! Monday

Are you feeling guilty for watching your daughter take off her clothes and leave them strewn about...and then just leaving them there instead of putting the energy into teaching her where the hamper is because you're too tired to care? Overcome with shame because you argued with your spouse, of all places, in front of the Christmas tree? Well don't be! Not Me! Monday was born out of my desire to admit some of my imperfections and reveal a few moments I'd rather forget. You may find it therapeutic to join in and do the same thing!

I'll start.

This week, I was not desperate for a shower. I always wake before the children so that I can shower, dress and put on makeup. Therefore, I was not in need of a shower one afternoon. Nope. Not me!

To that end, I most certainly did not bring our four MSC into the bathroom with me so they could play while I watched them and showered, killing two birds with one stone. Nope. There's no way I did that! But, even if I would've done that, I most certainly wouldn't have neglected to bring toys into the bathroom that Small Fry and Stellan would like, leaving them instead to make toys out of whatever they could find.



Nope. I am not a glutton for punishment. I did not decide that showering "alone" was worth picking up all my opened tampons from the floor afterwords. Not me!

As if that weren't enough, this past week I also did not invite scads of friends, neighbors and blog readers over to our house for a wine and dessert party, and then, as the party had started and my husband and I invited everyone downstairs to the bar for wine, become unable to locate our corkscrew, necessitating a trip out of the house to get one.



Nope. Not me! I am way more organized and prepared than to let something embarrassing like that happen!

And finally, I am certainly not hijacking my own Not Me! Monday post to shamelessly promote Serious.Life Magazine, upon the cover of which appears yours truly this month. Not me!



I'd never tell you that in addition to being on the cover with my daughter Small Fry in a photo taken by my dear friend Sami, that there is also a feature story about us and a photo gallery of my photos inside. Nope. Not me!

And I'd never tell you that if you wanted to read the whole issue, which is dedicated to digital photography, that all you had to do was click here. Not me! But if did tell you that, I'd also say have fun reading through the teaching, instructions, demos and how-to's on bettering your photography!
