I do not want a cat.

This afternoon, the big boys made this.

CatHouse

It is a cat house.

Please note: We do not have a cat!!! Well, at least not one that lives inside our house. But there is a cat. And that is precisely why our MSC have COTB*.

*Cats On The Brain

It came into our house today, Flower did. Oh yes, this cat that I don't want has a name, thanks to Big Mac. And also thanks to our firstborn, Flower came in our house today. I was not happy. I lured the cat (I will not call the cat Flower henceforth. Because that might mean that I want a cat. And I don't.) back outside with 1/6 of a hotdog (You didn't think I'd waste a whole hotdog on a cat, did you?).

So, instead of caring for the cat (Which is what our children desperately want to be doing) inside our home, our children are creating things for the cat. Cardboard houses, cups of milk, platefuls of salmon, accessories.

Yes, I said accessories.

Oh, yes, did I forget to mention that Prince Charming has COTB, too? What is up with that!? We are dog people. And kid people. But not cat people. I do not want a cat.

But the thing is, I am not so sure how long I am going to be able to keep this up, this not wanting a cat. I am trying to be strong. Pray for me, please. Pray that I can stand strong against an ever increasing cat desiring group of children, being led by my husband.

I should mention that there are kittens, too. Soft, fluffy, adorable little....ACK! What am I doing!? Pray for me, I said. Keep it up!

Because I do not want a cat.

I am trying to convince everyone that we can just feed the cat outside and let it live on our land. But that doesn't seem to be good enough for some people. Like the big boys. Who created this cat house so the cat "won't bother" me at all.

CatHouse

"B'cause it will just live in its house, Mama!"

Sure it will. I do not want a cat.
