Those pictures are so cute!! I love how cashed out he looks in the first pic - and don't worry, we all slept on our tummy's as baby's, and as far as I know, I'm still okay! We all know you're a fabulous mom!
And yes, MckMuffin definitely looks like he's chunking up a bit! Good milk!!

Beautiful pictures of a perfect baby. Last one could also be titled "Look Ma, got your nose!" love the little fist. God is so good.

And for what it's worth, all of my children slept on their tummies all of the time because that was the safest way (back then)! Every baby needs some tummy time!

Love the pics. Don't worry, we won't tell the pediatrician about his sleeping position. (My 12 week old has been sleeping on her tummy for 10 weeks now!) What a blessing you have. Merry Christmas!

Ahhhh! Just what I needed: a Stellan fix!!! Glad you finally got your lens back (new lens).

Psst! Don't tell anyone, but we slept all FIVE of our babies on their tummies, because we think that's the way God meant babies to sleep. (otherwise their heads get all funky shaped and they get torticolis)

Love the pix and the captions!

You're cracking me up with that sleeping on the tummy comment...I read the comment that that was referring to awhile ago and just rolled my eyes. Come on, people!

Do share...what kinds of lens? Is this the same one that you referred to earlier? The 50mm f/1.8 II?

Hi,

Beautiful pictures. I was just reading your post below, and thought that I would comment on it here. I think you are right, and I have been learning a lot from your blog. I am currently reading, Created to be His Help Meet by Debi Pearl. I am enjoying the book. My question is this: How do you get over the exhaustion of it all? Let me clarify. I am just plain tired all the time. I truly feel like God has let me down. A month ago I was riding on top of the world. I had just finished a Beth Moore bible study, and I was feeling as free as a bird. Then rock bottom hit. Everything, and I mean everything starting breaking. Our dryer, washing machine, microwave, fireplace, our van. All in a two week period. I was on overload, and then the biggest wammy of all, my dh's company decided to close, as of last week. His last day was 2 days ago. I love God, but I am so mad at Him that I could spit nails. Maybe he's wanting me to trust Him more. I felt closer than ever to Him when my bible study ended. Now I feel betrayed. I feel like screaming, "WHAT NEXT?" Am I a bad Christain because I feel this way? I am just totally spent. I know there are people with worse problems. It could get worse, and probably will. Don't get me wrong, there have been blessings too this last month. How do I get out of this slump?

Elaine said...

Oh my goodness, he is getting so big. And so adorable, awww...he is just precious. My second baby slept on his tummy, he wouldn't have it any other way..

Hubby gave me an early Christmas present, I'll give you a hint. The box says Cannon....He wanted me to have time to figure it out, so I can use it for Christmas. I am going to need to look back on you photography posts now. Wish me luck...

I see the smiles from gas and the smiles while he is sleeping and they fill the love tank a little! also..you need to check out old navy's sales. The sales right now are amazing and the clothes are cheaper than once upon a child! I got a "small fry outfit" for my little girl and a "mcmuffin" outfit (bright stripes and a one piece) today and they are clearanced out and then an additional 50% off!! The little girl outfit total was $3.98 and the one piece was $1.98!!

To all commenters: I know most babies sleep fine on their tummy's but please remember SIDS. Parents must make the choice about how their baby sleeps for themselves, I get it, I'm really ok with it. Clearly everyone commenting about Stellan being fine on his belly has heard the advice about very young babies sleeping on their backs instead of their belly. Clearly everyone commenting has their own years of experience to back them up. Just please also know that research has shown belly sleeping to be a possible contributor to SIDS and back/side sleeping to possibly prevent SIDS. I know babies who must belly sleep due to various medical conditions, or those who truly will not sleep on their backs. I know this isn't a simple or black and white issue. I just can't not speak my peace about this.

Laura said...

Oh Dear...I don't know how to say this but I know a family who lost their little girl because they laid her on one of those lambs wool type blanket that you have your little one laying on in those pictures. The little girl spit up and couldn't get up and smothered to death.
