we're gonna need a bigger couch...

If you follow me on Twitter, or if you check my tweets on my sidebar, then you know that we had our first ever professional family photographs taken on Friday. My friend Heidi (who I only knew through our blogs until she came over on Friday and we met in real life for the first time) is a more-than-budding photographer and she offered to do our family portraits.



Hmm, our family makes our couch look really small. And I actually always thought it was a pretty big couch. Wonder what we'll need to sit on when our kids are teenagers!?

I'd also like to point out how anal-retentive I was with planning our outfits. I am a first born, type A, but don't like everything super matchy-matchy. Just even. Note all of us in sweaters, three of us wearing stripes, two of us wearing argyle, and one wearing argyle and stripes. And all of us in bright colors, naturally. Thankyouverymuch. (And, yes, Big Mac is poking at his nose. Hey, it's better than down his pants, which is what his more prone to do!)

She sent me these two sneak peeks last night. We shot mostly outside, but she snapped around after we came back in to warm up, too.



This looks like it was taken the same day as the International Babywearing Week photo that Prince Charming took was, but I'm actually just wearing the same sweater (it's from Target...forgot to tweet about that after so many of you asked) and my nails were still painted (though they're looking pretty shabby today).

What hopefully won't look shabby are the rest of our family photos. Can't wait to see them all! But, since I must wait, I will wait and watch the counter getting closer and closer to 2 million. Wait for it. Wait for it...
