Beautiful! Sweet and lovely and perfect. I'm so happy for you and your family.
My brother and sister-in-law also had a baby on Wednesday! :-) She appears to have Down Syndrome and has a mild heart defect, but they expect her to be fine once they correct it. I'm going to visit her later today!
What a blessing you are TREATING us too! Everytime (well almost everytime, I check way more often that I will admit) you give us the gift of more photos! Wow, seriously so so precious! LoVe the gown too!

So precious! Thank you for sharing your journey and giving glory to the Lord through your amazing testimony. We are walking a very hard road with a heart-baby and pray that she too will have a story that impacts the world for the kingdom - come what may!
Oh, that second photo... it's like my whole being relaxed, as if I could breath him in or something. I am just constantly wavering between crazy happy joy and the kind of joy that brings peaceful contentment. Because you have cause for both of those types of joy... and mostly cause for the joy of gratitude.
Blessings on your day tomorrow and every day with your VMSC (very many small children). Just felt like it needed a bigger term now :)
Oh. Wow. It's been a busy couple of weeks for me, and after my sweet 9-month-old woke up in the night I thought I'd catch up on my blog reading. I'm so glad I did! My heart is full of joy. Keep posting those beautiful pics of your miracle!
I didnt think it could get any sweeter with photos of Stellan and his siblings....but it just has! You look amazing, and yeah its totally better than trick or treating.
my son has complete heart block. i hope both our kids grow and strengthen. do they tell you he'll need a pacemaker eventually? idk why i'm asking questions, i can see you get a bajillion comments a day. that's crazy!
it was good to read a little around your site. it is encouraging to learn about other people's experiences with heart block.
Nothing better than the treat you have in your arms. So wonderful! I hope you are feeling well and that your recovery time is a smooth one. Blessings on you day.
Congratulations! I am praising God with you this morning. I have been away from my computer, but this morning I was finally able to check your blog. Your son is beautiful, and God's mercy is amazing. I'm thanking God with you for your precious son. Pam Momma to another Miracle Boy (who is now nearly 3 and trying to destroy my computer! Augh-Motherhood! I love it!)
PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!!!!! We lost Internet right after Stellan was born (we're pretty rural at 12,000 ft. in Peru), so I have been praising God all week for the miracle, not even knowing all the rest of the details!!! How fun this morning to catch up!! Wow!! God is just ridiculously GOOD!!! I love the pics of the big, well, and some not so big :), siblings!!!! Those are always my favorites, to see their wonder and delight in the new baby!! You look great, too, by the way- serious, not just being nice!! :) :)
Just reading about Stellan's birth. Hallelujah! I just give praises to the King!!!! Thank-you Lord for hearing our cries and answering our prayers. Your little boy is simply beautiful! Congratulations!
I have been reading your blog for a couple of months now. Okay, truth be told, I am addicted to your blog! :) I have been lurking and silently praying for your precious Stellan and your wonderful family. Tears of joy streamed down my face as I read about your miracle baby's birth. You are an inspiration and I appreciate you sharing your life with all of us.
I keep telling people about the miracle that God did in Stellan's life. Every time I think about it, I get chills. Thanks for posting pictures of that sweet boy. God is sooooo faithful, and he will ever be testimony to that!
I do not know you but am honored to run across your story for the last several months and have the opportunity to pray for you and your precious baby.
I have been reminded it does not matter what the diagnosis is we need to keep praying and never lose hope because our God is who he says he is, he can do what he says he will do, his word is alive and active in us.
Thank you Jesus for bringing me to an all new amazement of you...praising you.
There is just nothing in the world as delicious as holding your newborn baby, is there? It makes me want to have a fourth one too. :) Yum, Yum, Yummy! Enjoy soaking it all in. I couldn't be happier for you.
With a mere 58 comments so far, I am jumping IN to say my sincere Congratulations to you and your precious family now! Horray for this miracle. God surprised me by the miraculous turn around in our son's NICU stay and he is completely healed, so I just love your story as well! I can so relate. I was Jennisa's old boss...hee hee. I miss her still. She got me started on this blog, but I have long way to go. LOL
I have been following your blog for a couple of months. I have tried commenting several times but I never manage to get it to work. I am absolutely determined to get this message to you though!
I am so happy for you that baby Stellan is here and well. I am amazed at your strength and your faith.
I wish you and you wonderful family all the very best.
Could you please (if it's not too much trouble) give Stellan a big kiss from all of us and tell him that we are all so thankful he is here.
The look on your face is almost as priceless as those of the looks on the faces of MSC holding MckMuffin. Each one of them shows their individual personality. What beautiful faces - all of you! Peace to you.
What beautiful photos those are. So precious. I am just beside myself with feeling so happy for you and your whole family! Even if I don't "know" you! Isn't it amazing how the internet can work wonders? All we hear is the dangers lurking there and all the bad, yet here is something so good! God IS so good! Enjoy your little ones MckMama. The time goes so quickly!
Beautiful blog...beautiful journey...beautiful family...beautiful baby...beautiful miracle! I came here from Bring the Rain. I am a mama who has experienced Jesus giving and Jesus taking away. Like you, I have wept and I have rejoiced. It is an honor to be rejoicing with you today for your amazing, precious baby Stellan. How great is our God!
Your Mountaintop is even more beautiful than the Valley you just walked out of... hand in hand with Jesus. Thank you for sharing your journey and your miracle. What a blessing to us all.
Each time I read the updates on your blog, the song "How GREAT is our God" by Chris Tomlin runs through my head. How great and encouraging has God been while working through you?! I thank God for giving you the strength to go through every mother's nightmare, yet to share your story and praise Him throughout. You continue to be a light for Him.
I read this yesterday and thought it was appropriate..."Making the decision to have a child....it's momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body..."
You are such a beautiful mama! I love these tender pictures. They are so precious- thanks for the sweet start to my Saturday! I am always encouraged when I click to your blog!
Breathtakingly beautiful. I'm going to have to stop reading your posts in front of my kids because they keep wondering why I have tears in my eyes! I guess it's a good time to explain to them that sometimes God's goodness is so big that it just moves us to tears! And it's so good to see your face too! Now I can have a better picture of who I am praying for! :)
Those pictures are so sweet!! It's nice to see you in the pictures. As a mom, we are so often taking pictures and rarely in them!! You blog headers looks so complete with sweet little Stellan's picture in it :-) I hope that your transition at home goes smoothly!
You got that right there is nothing better than snuggling with your sweet miracle. I am so happy for you and your family! You look so BEAUTIFUL!!!! PRAISE GOD!!!! He is so GREAT!!
Lookin at these pix makes me want another lil one NOW instead of waiting until our daughter is 2 or 3.
I have never commented before (as long as I can remember), but I feel that this is a very important time. I believe that you have just witnessed a miracle! Through prayer, God has healed sweet Stellan! Thank you so much for sharing your story. So many people have been praying, including me, and so many people have been moved by your story... by the grace and power God has for your family. I will continue to pray for Stellan these next few months. Have fun with your 4 children.
Sarah from Missouri by the way, I love the pictures of you and Stellan. and Where did you get the Stellan bracelets? Just answer me when you have time later.

What a beautiful little baby boy! My heart is rejoicing today in a God who does miracles!!!! What unspeakable joy He brings! Angie's post on Bring the Rain brought tears to my eyes, for it is true, He gives and He takes away. My precious little nephew Case is 8 months old, and he has an incurable genetic disease called SMA, which medically means he probably won't live to be 2. But both your's and Angie's blogs have been such an encouragement to me, especially in the past several months! I have drawn strength from yours. In whatever the circumstances, our GOD is the same yesterday, today, and FOREVER!
Without a doubt, that is waaaay better than trick-or-treating. Did the other MCK go trick-or-treating? Just curious. By the way, you have a cute lil' gown on. It must not be from the hospital.
AMEN I AGREE THAT IS THE BEST TIME EVER BOND AND GIVING LOTS OF KISSES YOULL HAVE PLENTLY OF TIME TO TRICK OR TREAT LATER THAT IS FOR SURE. SO HANDSOME . GOSH IAM JUST SO EXCITED FOR ALL OF YOU GOD BLESS AND HAVE A SAME A HAPPY TRIP HOME YOU ALL DESERVE IT THAT IS WELL NOTED .
hey mckmama, just wanted to let you know that your faith in God and in life inspires me. the birth of baby stellan is living proof of how faith equips us to deal with any problem in life. thanks for giving me hope at a time when i most need it.
so, did you pick out your room ahead of time to get the best hospital lighting ever...or did you bring your own studio lights? :) wonderful pics!!! love the one with all your mcks!! lona
You are blessed with such a treat! There is no candy shop that could package such a sweetness! You have it all in your arms. Good to see you with him enjoying his presence and snuggling your precious son. There is no greater place to be, I am sure!
Oh, how sweet. His little lips look just like yours. These are precious pictures. Thank you so much for sharing your life and Stellan's with all of us. It is so dear. It has been such a privilege, and what a joy to pray for you and see God's hand at work. He is so, so, very, good...
These pictures of you and Stellan brought tears to my eyes. That baby is a true miracle and blessing. I love him, and I don't even know you all! You are an amazing woman and I am blessed by your blog and your family. Enjoy this special time!
That is so sweet!! YOu are sooo making me want another one!! Like, NOW! I didn't know this was your third c-section. I've had two myself and will have to have sections for the rest of my children. I remember just wanting to be able to roll over and oh the pain!!! Blessings on your little blessing.
There's nothing better than holding a baby to your chest!!!! You just can't seem to put them down those first few days!!! May God Bless all of you each and every day.
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us! I am just in awe of witnessing this miracle!
I've thought about your miracle since Stellan's birth. Your story gives so much hope to others who maybe searching for just a bit of hope and a miracle in their lives. Thank-you so much for sharing your story of hope, faith and love with the world.
I used to think I was defined by my cloth diapering, babywearing, organic eating, acrylic painting, woods dwelling, fast talking, vaccination delaying, color obsessing, Frozen Tundra residing, nose piercing, amateur gardening, baby food making, photograph taking, faraway traveling, baby making, high school swimming, tattoo designing, medical detail memorizing, non-circumcising, lakeside living, college soccer playing, small government believing, pro-life advocating, television abandoning, extended breastfeeding, German speaking, deep thinking, former art teaching and baby cosleeping ways.
Now, although I may choose to still do those things, I will simply be MckMama, a sinner saved by the King's grace, wife to my Prince, mother of Many Small Children.
Prince Charming is my handsome, hardworking, forgiving husband and is the father of our Many Small Children. We have known each other since infancy and have been married for 5 years. He is the best father I know and loves to be outdoors with the kids or working in the garage. I am committed to him forever and am so glad he doesn't make me put the worms on his fishing hooks!
Big Mac is our firstborn, our multi-faceted son K. At age 4, he handles his role of biggest brother impressively well. Big Mac cares for his siblings intensely, is astonishingly independent and amazes us with his deep thinking. He is tender, fun loving, inventive and interested in how mechanical things work. You can often find him digging in the sandbox or eating carrots and hummus.
MckNugget, our second son C, is nothing short of all boy. Free-spirited, emotional and goofy, our 2 1/2 year old Nuggey has a spunk and zeal for life some only dream of. He loves all things creepy crawly and always has dirt under his fingernails. He adores being carried and loves sleeping with his soft blue blankie.
Small Fry is our spirited little 20 month old daughter M. To our otherwise masculine brood of offspring, she adds a touch of feminine sweetness. Our curly haired girl channels Cindy Loo Who, loves to wear her baby dolls in a sling, dotes on her big brothers and plays mommy with her little one. She is an absolute delight and lives off bananas, avocado and oatmeal.
MckMuffin is our snuggly 8 month old son S! In the womb, he was diagnosed with heart failure, suffering from Supraventricular Tachycardia, hydrops and heart block. At 24 weeks the doctors told us that our gravely ill unborn baby would surely die. We chose to give our son completely to God who surprised us with Stellan's miraculous recovery: our son was born healthy! MckMuffin began to suffer from SVT again at 4 months, was additionally diagnosed with PFO, a hole in his heart, and had a partially successful heart procedure performed at 5 months. Whether the future holds more surgeries or a pacemaker for our miracle boy, we don't know. But God does and we trust Him no matter what He decides.

Stellan was a Miracle for Halloween and he didn't even need a costume.
You are blessed with such a treat! There is no candy shop that could package such a sweetness! You have it all in your arms. Good to see you with him enjoying his presence and snuggling your precious son. There is no greater place to be, I am sure!
