Not Me! Monday

I am cringing that this is my last Not Me! Monday in which I will be 9 months pregnant. Meaning, I won't be able to write off my Not Me's! to my pregnant state anymore!

But, for one last week, while I can still get away with it, I offer you what this pregnant lady most certainly did not do this past week:

When getting ready to go out and meet up with my husband, I did not decide that he deserved a little bit less, ahem, homely looking of a wife. To that end, I didn't quickly grab my makeup bag and take it with me, with the intention of putting some on in the car. Upon starting to put makeup on in the car, I did not realize that I had no sponge applicator for my pressed foundation. Really wanting to powder my shiny nose before meeting Prince Charming, I did not become ridiculously resourceful and locate an old--clean--pantyliner and use it to apply the powder. I didn't work really well and I ended up not feeling homely in the least!!!

I did not wake 8 times last night to use the bathroom, groaning like a granny each time I eased my achy body out of bed. And, out of desperation, I did not actually say to myself during one of these times that, "I wish I was just wearing a diaper" and then honestly spend a few moments contemplating exactly how much urine a diaper could hold.

When our friend was planning to watch our kids one day this week so I could go to a doctor's appointment and also get some work done, I did not become desperate when attempting to leave the house when I was unable to locate a bra. My favorite maternity tank/bra was in the wash and I didn't just decide to grab it, even though it was wet. I did not stop at the coffee shop first to pay some bills before heading downtown for my appointment. And, because I was bra-less, I certainly didn't just sit all hunched over so no one would notice. And, so that by the time I had to go to my appointment, I would be undergarment-ready, I did not just drape my damp piece of maternity lingerie over the back of the leather chair I was sitting in at the coffee shop so it could dry out. Nope! Not me!

The morning after one of Small Fry's very last nights sleeping in our closet, I had to leave really early, before she woke. I hadn't thought of grabbing an outfit the night before, and I was stuck with nothing to wear. My jeans from the night before were on the floor, underwear and bras were in the dresser in our room, but I couldn't get a shirt from our closet without risking waking Small Fry. It wasn't a risk I wanted to take. So I most certainly did not just leave the house for the morning and attend my meeting wearing no shirt, but only my pink spring coat, all buttoned up over my bra.

We do not have only two more days to go before we all meet Stellan and see more of God's will unfolding before our eyes!! Oh, wait, we do!!!!

And now, it's your turn!!!

Please take a refresher course in Not Me! Monday's official rules if you'd like to participate. And, trust me on this, once you go Not Me! you'll never go back. It's free therapy at its funniest!

Link up here after you have posted your Not Me! Monday post. Mr. Linky will close without warning sometime late (CST) on Monday, so speak now or until next week hold your peace!!

UPDATED: Mr. Linky is closed for the week. Thanks for playing along! See you next Monday!

MckMama...I just wanted you to know my thoughts are with you all the time in these past few days! I wish I had been able to savor the last few days of my 4th pregnancy, but I didn't know they were the last days! =) I can't wait to meet Stellan!

No more pregnant Not Me! posts. Wow, I am so excited for you. I too contemplated the whole adult diaper thing in the last days of my pregnancy. I hear those astronaut diapers would do the trick...Hmmm....how to get my hands on some of those for the next pregnancy???

Glad to see this up! I was beginning to worry after reading your last tweet that maybe Stellan had a plan of his own. Take care of yourself, and prayers for Wednesday!

Wow only 2 days left until Stellan arrives! I could totally imagine you with just the coat. Wonder what people were thinking when they saw your bra laying on the chair? Too funny!!!

You are in my prayers as Wednesday repidly approaches and you get ready to meet your new little miracle.

The coat and no shirt comment made me laugh. A couple days ago when I was getting ready I had the terrible thought that what if I were in a car accident and a whole bunch of medical staff saw my grungy underwear? (I am most certainly NOT still wearing Old Navy MaternityUndies two years after I gave birth because they are the most comfortable).

TOO FUNNY! Those were some good ones. :)

Praying, praying, praying as we await Stellan's arrival!

Morning, MckMama!

I hope you got SOME rest in-between all those contractions and trips to the bathroom. I remember joking once that I should just move into the bathroom the last weeks of my forth pregnancy. (I miscarried one before the last - don't know if you're familiar with our family, but thought I'd tell you incase you were thinking, "Wait, I thought she had THREE kids?")I know, I always give WAY TOO MUCH info! LOL!!

Hey, I'm getting REALLY EXCITED about "meeting" Stellan! Did you KNOW that EVERYONE in our church knows his name now? Well, I can't speak for ALL of the men, but the ladies sure do!

We're PRAYING for his COMPLETELY NORMAL AND AMAZINGLY HEALTHY delivery with NO medical intervention!

(A quick recovery for Mama too) =-)

Hey, I don't know if I've mentioned this - but my nephew was born with an enlarged heart.. (He got "hung up" during delivery - docs had NO IDEA he was SO BIG! He was OVER 10 pounds and my sister is TINY)They were given a lot of really bad news, the baby was taken by helicopter to a MUCH LARGER hospital with very LITTLE hope of his survival. Well, that's what the doctor's thought. GOD HEALED that child COMPLETELY! He was HEALTHY AND AT HOME within a week!

I guess I said all of that to encourage you that no matter what you may "hear"... GOD has the last WORD for sure! (I know you KNOW that.. okay, rambling again... sorry) LOL!

LOVE YOU! =-)

Sorry.... I do not have a blog !!

I have not named my hot flash Blaze.

I did not fib to my husband by telling him I do not mind food shopping by myself because his zigzagging and meandering all over the store drive me crazy!

I did not pretend that a desk was too heavy for me carry out of the basement with my son so he would just deal with it himself.

Still praying in PA.

Oh no you did not dry your bra over your chair! That is the funniest thing I have heard in awhile...wait that is until I read that you wore a jacket over your bra to a meeting! You are soooo brave!

The problem for me would be that I was sooooo hot during my pregnancies that I would not have needed a jacket!

Looking forward to the 29th!

I'm sure you'll still have some very funny posts once Stellan is home. The new Mommy fog will definitely be a good enough "reason" to have more not me's!

Ha! The bra over the chair story was really, I mean NOT funny!!! Makes me smile just picturing it!

The good thing is that you can get away with anything from here on out. You dont need to be pregnant to get away with stuff because you will be a new mother and a mother of 4 MSC!!! That should keep you going for years!

You are so funny but sooo out of touch!!! Didn't you know that you roll the window up on a wet item and drive down the road really fast to dry it?!?! It gives you a reason to speed (cause you are probably late) and your kids LOVE to see the item flaping in the wind. Especially if it is under-related.

Praying for you to make it through the next couple of tough end-times days....... and then God's plan will again amaze and unfold.

Can't wait to "meet" the little boy we have been praying for.

I, too, will miss the pregnant "Not Me!" moments. Thank you for being willing to let us witness your "keeping it real" moments... you've made us laugh, cry, and sometimes both at the same time!

Praying for peace to wash over your family over the coming weeks, for your strength to come from God, for your entire team of doctors to be touched by God's work... for Stellan, as he lives his life in the palm of God's hand.

Wow! #250!

I considered the diaper thing late in my pregnancy too. Getting up to pee in the middle of the cold night is just cruel!

I totally wish I could go braless or shirless, but probably not as much as Hubby does. I will be praying for you this week.

McMama-
I have been reading your blog for some time now. I love it and have been praying for you. I live on the other side of the world..Nepal and because of the time difference (I sleep while you guys are awake) it is easiest for me to participate in Not Me Monday on my Tuesday morning (your Monday night) and I just finished writing my not me (for the first time)and came back to link it to your blog and Mr. Linky was closed...within minutes!!! I was so sad :(! Can I keep my post up on my blog? I was so excited to participate this week...but I totally understand the time thing! My family and I are praying for you. Thanks for sharing your story and bits of your life with us. We are encouraged by it! Kristin
