Beaches, without Bette Midler

UPDATED: Sounds like this will be a great thing to get going, and give me something great to focus my time and energy on!!! My email is on my sidebar to the right--directly below the photos and descriptions of my children. Feel free to send your "Stellan" creation photos there!

Oh, and did you hear Celine say she'd get Stellan's name in front of the Eiffel Tower!? Sweet.

I really did know that Iowa had beaches. I was just trying to be cheeky!! There is a bevy of (non-oceanic) beaches where we live, too!!

Love-love-loving the Stellan bracelet idea. Like those gummy rubbery bracelets with his name and perhaps our blog address? In orange!? (My favorite color.) Don't have any ideas about the specifics...do I buy a bunch and people pay $1 for them or something!? Is there anyone out there who has the time and willingness to take this on...to research such bracelets for me and possibly handle a bracelet prayer ministry thingy for Stellan??

ORIGINAL POST:

Don't think that a beach in England:

is the only place getting graced with Stellan's beautiful (er--ahem--in my humble opinion!) name in the sand.

Apparently, Stellan's name has shown up on the beaches of Iowa, too!

Yeah, I didn't know Iowa had beaches, either. Live and learn!!!

Many, many thanks, Kath and Annika!!

You know, I could always start a gallery of Stellan's name being written in all different ways in all different places. Wouldn't that be cool?! I am obsessed with names (especially my kids' names!) and I'm very visually oriented and really love to see names written out. It would be right up my alley to create a gallery--online and, of course, a real one I could hang in his nursery someday, too--of Stellan's name in photos. So, if you feel up to it and are looking for something to do for me, get creative with Stellan's name, then grab a camera and send me a copy! And I'll put them all together into some fun conglomeration!

You know, just a thought.

P.S. Stellan's heart is still plugging away at a delightful 130 bpm--has been since my update at around 3:30 am!!!

I love the beach/gallery idea for Stellan's name! Come on everybody lets get something going with his name:) I was thinking last night of the bracelet idea. I know it's not original, but I know if I were to wear one with his name on it, I'd be in prayer even more than I am now. So happy about the good news with his heart? How's you heart doing? Love,Melissa

Do you have an email to send the photos of Stellan's name to? My three and half year old daughter, Rose and I are working on his name project right now and wanted to know where to send it when done. My email is RachelLenda@comcast.net

PS Do you believe in arranged marriages? ;) Your boys are adorable and I have a 3 1/2 year old girl, Rose, and an almost 2 year daughter, Pearl that might make great wives someday for Big Mac and McNugget. ;)

I was just catching up on your story.

You are really going through a lot, but hang in there. You have beautiful children and will have another one before too long.

I hope to keep updated on your blog and will pray for you.

The beaches in Iowa are on lakes, and there are plenty of those (most of which resulted in some serious flooding this summer). The area we travel to have the Cedar River, Iowa River, Pleasent creek lake, and Coralville lake just to name a few.

Great idea!! So glad to hear little man's heart remains slow. Prayer is a powerful thing!!

BTW, I am a pediatric emergency nurse. I have seen many miracles happen right before my eyes in my career. There are kids walking around today who have no "medical" reason for being alive. Their parents were told they would certainly die, but by the Grace of God they are still with us today. I believe in miracles and I believe your little Stellan will continue to defy the odds and grow to be strong and healthy. Continuing to pray for your family.

The best place I know of to get rubber band bracelets is at reminderband.com.

Thought it would help.

I love this idea. My two children (ages 5 & 2) are already working on their Stellan project. I can hear them working even now and they are praying for your little baby as they work. "Dear Jesus thank you for this little boy you made and help him to get better soon. Amen." We'll send our photos your way soon!

I don't know about the actual bracelets but I do know the March of Dimes has virtual ones you can do to support their research...might be something to look into :)

I know its not very original (being a FL beach), but I will be at Clearwater beach tonight here in FL. I will get a pic for you of his name in the sand.

Keep that heart beating slow little man.

Oh thanks for the Friday project. As a fellow photographer, how cool to fill his room one day with all the prints of his name in creative ways. K, E and I will get working on our addition to the project this afternoon!

Great news about Stellan's bpm!!! He is a fighter huh? What a little miracle he is for all of us to witness. Hang in there little man! You will LOVE it on the outside where you can hang out with your rockin' mom and your awesome family!

MckS Mama,
I am so joy-filled that I am crying!!! Praise God! He is the Creator and Maker of the Universe and NOTHING is out of his reach.
I can't wait for all the Dr's to come and see you when Stellan is born to say how mystified and how glad they were wrong.
Praise God!
