It's dark now, 4 am.
I am off continuous monitoring of Stellan; it was simply too difficult to keep his tiny, squirming (good sign!) body on the monitor. The doctors had decided sometime earlier tonight (I've been, thankfully, on sleeping pills and haven't been too aware of what's been going on until now.) to switch to ultrasounds every hour between then and 10 am CST on Thursday. The most recent ultrasound just wrapped up, so I thought I'd throw a little post out here. Will all the info gathered from all of these ultrasounds, I will have some information about what kind of a day and night Stellan's heart had that I can bring to my ECHO tomorrow morning--Thursday--at 11:30 am CST.
I will tell you that his heart rate has been going down and up, the first in a long while that we've seen it budge from it's high perch near 300 bpr. A promising sign: Perhaps Flecainide still may be our drug and we may stick with it, with continued tweaking of my doses. That is, as long as it has not caused heart block in Stellan again.
I will know a lot more after our ECHO in the morning and will post again then, if not sooner. Don't miss The Around The Clock Prayer Vigil For Baby Stellan in my previous post. Also, if you would like a prayer button for the sidebar of your blog, to link to our story and let people know you are praying for us, you can easily pick it up by clicking here. My sweet friend Jennisa made one earlier in the night and it's yours for the taking, so head on over there if you'd like one.
See you again in a few hours!

I'm adding your button to my side bar! I can only hope that the prayers that are being sent are helping Stellan's heart... and yours too
Grabbing the button now!! I pray for good news today.
Good idea on the button...just added it. We'll keep praying for you and Stellan!
I added the button to both of my blogs.
I found your blog through someone elses and I just have to tell you how touched I am by your story and your courage. I have four small children myself and I cannot imagine how hard it is to be in the hospital dealing with this and worrying about your others at home (just know they are fine :)) Praying that you have a good, restful, encouraging day. Kristin

Just flipped the computer on and grabbed your button. I'll be praying for you today. Be encouraged.
Your button has been added, and you never left my prayers! I just keep you up on my computers all day and hit refresh more than I can tell you. I waiting to see that all this prayer is working!
Hang tight, chin up, and keep resting, the less stress on you the less stress on him. We will keep your burdens for God to know.
Take care friend!
I grabbed the button too...what a neat idea! It ranked to be put at the very TOP of my blog of course. Only the best for my friends. :-)
